As reported in the news , Hurricane Ian was a very large and very destructive Category 4 storm that landed in the nearby city, Fort Myers . Our forest was severely impacted by it. Many people including the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints came to rescue us. They brought in people as well as equipments to clear the path so that we can once again be able to walk in the woods. There are a lot of works to be done to bring the forest back to its original status. If you have any time and/or energy, we would appreciate your help.

วันที่ ๒๙ กันยายน ๒๕๖๕ พายุเฮอริเคนเข้าฟลอริด้า วัดป่าซาราโซต้าได้รับความเสียหายเป็นอย่างมาก จากลมพายุแล้วน้ำที่ขึ้นมาท่วมภายในบ้าน และบริเวณใกล้เคียงอยุ่เกือบอาทิตย์ ในขณะนั้นเราไม่มีพระอยุ่ที่วัด สมาชิกวัดแต่ละคนก็มีปัญหาที่บ้านของตนเองที่ต้องแก้ใข ซ่อมบ้านตัวเองกัน แล้วมาซ่อมวัดต่อ วัดเราอยู่ห่างจากสถานที่ ที่เฮอริเคนเข้า ไม่ไกลเท่าไหร่ ขับรถชั่วโมงเดียว
