Monastery etiquette as suggested by Ajahn Chichung
ข้อแนะนำจากพระอาจารย์จือจอง
We are very pleased to have Phra Ajahn Chichung here with us at SFM. It is extremely important that the lay community and Sangha are supporting one another in harmony. As a Buddhist monk in the Thai Forest Tradition, Phra Ajahn has accepted our invitation and offered to serve the Buddhist community in Englewood areas. To start, Ajahn asked the lay people the following:
- On the day of your visit, please be at the monastery no sooner than 10:30 a.m. If food offering is your intention, please keep in mind that the monks have to finish eating before noon, so prepare your offering accordingly.
- If there is no other man (adult) inside the building, a woman must not enter the building. If there are more than one woman, but no adult man, please keep the interaction to a minimum, i.e., offering the food, receiving your blessing, and leave.
- Phra Ajahn is at the stage of learning the needs of our community and will be adjusting as needed. Remember, Sangha and lay community must work together to create harmony in our practice.

คำแนะนำจากพระอาจารย์จือจองเกี่ยวกับระเบียบของวัด ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องสำคัญและจำเป็นที่ทุกท่านควรเข้าใจ
- ในวันที่ท่านมาวัด พระอาจารย์ขอความร่วมมือจากทุกท่านอย่ามาก่อน ๑๐ โมงครึ่ง ถ้าท่านมีความประสงค์ที่จะถวายอาหาร อย่าลืมว่าพระต้องฉันอาหารให้เสร็จก่อนเที่ยง ฉะนั้นท่านควรจัดเวลาให้เหมาะสม
- ในกรณีที่ไม่มีผู้ชายอยู่ที่วัดเลย และท่านเป็นผู้หญิงคนเดียวที่มาวัด ขอความกรุณาอย่าเข้าไปในตัวอาคาร ถ้ามีผู้หญิงมากกว่า ๑ คน และไม่มีผู้ชายมาด้วย ท่านเข้ามาในตัวอาคารได้ แต่ต้องจำกัดเวลาและการปฏิบัติภาระหน้าที่เฉพาะที่จำเป็นจริง ๆ เท่านนั้น เป็นต้นว่า ถวายอาหาร รับพร และออกไปเลย
- พระอาจารย์ยังอยู่ในขั้นศึกษาความต้องการของสาธุชนในย่านนี้ และพร้อมที่จะรับฟังความเห็นของทุกท่าน และจะนำมาพิจารณา เป็นกรณี ๆ ไป ถ้าท่านมีคำถามหรือปัญหาใด ๆ ที่ต้องการปรึกษา ท่านสามารถเสนอคำถามของท่านได้ในเวลาที่เหมาะสมดังกล่าวข้างต้นนี้
- ถ้าท่านสงสัยในเรื่องของการปฏิบัติตนในวัด ขอเรียนเชิญท่านเข้าดูข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับพระธรรมวินัย ข้อปฏิบัติของพระสงฆ์ได้ที่นี่ค่ะ
